Wednesday 3rd November
Updated Safety Arrangements
Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you had a good half term break. We are very pleased that we have been able to welcome our Reception and Nursery children back in to school today and that Year 3 will return tomorrow. The precautions taken mean that the cases have not spread any further. This week, the announcement of the new National Lockdown is of course important news and we are writing to update you on the key things we are doing to keep our children, staff and families as safe as possible. You can read the full risk assessment on our website: https://churchfield.school
We are asking parents and carers to wear face coverings at drop off and pick up. Please ensure you wear them correctly which means covering your nose and mouth.
Please remember to keep 2 meters away from other adults and children. Sometimes this means that you have to wait a bit longer and we ask for your patience in this. There is a yellow line outside most classrooms and we ask you not to cross this line. We also ask you to make sure there is just ONE adult collecting or dropping to reduce the number of people in school.
START OF THE DAY
Here is a reminder of the drop off arrangements. Please remember the times have been staggered so that fewer people are arriving together:

Report symptoms accurately
If you are calling the school office to report that your child is ill, they will ask you a series of questions. Please answer these as accurately as you can so that we can give you the correct guidance.
Report positive COVID tests immediately
It is very important that as soon as you have the result of a test for your child or of a person that they have had close contact with, you contact us and let us know straight away. You can call the office or do this via the school website.
Children at home isolating
We will continue to provide online learning for those children who are following the guidance to self-isolate. Please contact us if you have difficulty accessing Google Classroom.
Children continue to remain in their bubbles throughout the school day. Bubble sets of equipment will remain within each bubble and are not shared between bubbles. Outdoor learning is encouraged where possible and classrooms will be naturally ventilated at all times. Good hygiene practice is in place. Children wash their hands with soap and running water at the following times: on arrival to school; before and after break times; after any outdoor activity; before and after eating; at home time; and at all key transitions.
Please look after yourselves and your families. If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school office via email or phone and we will do our best to help you. All of the staff at Churchfield are committed to supporting our children and families through this difficult time.
Best wishes and take care,
Natalie Lorkins Nicola Jaeggi
